TMG
Business Process Working Group (BPWG)
The Business Process Working Group (BPWG) provides
techniques and methodologies for the description of
inter-organizational business processes and the resulting
information exchanges.
Currently the following TMG projects are hosted by the BPWG:
UMM
Base- and Foundation Module (UMM Modelling Language)
The UMM
Base- and Foundation Modules define a modelling language for
inter-organizational business processes and the resulting information
exchanges between organizations based on the Unified Modelling Language
(UML). Further information can be found in the project area.
UMM
User Guide
The UMM User Guide is a step-by-step guide of how to use the UMM
Modelling Language as defined in the UMM Base- und Foundation Modules.
Further information can be found in the project area.
UML-Profile
for Core Components (BCSS)
The BCSS project defines a concept to model Core Components based on the
Unified Modelling Language (UML). The main deliverable of the project
will be a formal UML-Profile that can be used with existing UML-tools to
model and exchange information models which conform to the Core
Components Technical Specification (CCTS). Since the UMM is also based
on UML the work of the BCSS project is an important further step to
closely align CCTS and UMM. Further information can be found in the
project area.
BPSS
The ebXML Business Process Specification Schema (BPSS) technical
specification defines a XML-based standard language by which business
systems may be configured to support the execution of
inter-organizational business processes. The BPSS concepts are closely
aligned with the UMM and can be generated from UMM artefacts. Further
information can be found in the project area.
UBAC
The goal of the UBAC project is to provide concepts to enrich
inter-organizational business processes based on UMM with further
contractual and legal semantics. Further information can be found in the
project area.
